Ancestors of the Fogler family worked family land in Exeter, Maine, as far back as the 1800’s. It was in the mid 1900’s when the farm really blossomed into a full scale farming operation.

Stonyvale, Inc. (also known as the Fogler Farm) established the rich tradition upon which Exeter Agri-Energy is built. That tradition is nicely summarized in this very brief video:

Today Stonyvale Farm is one of Maine’s leading dairy farms, a thriving business that employs well over 20 people. A family team manages almost 1,000 milking cows, 150 dry cows and almost 800 youngstock.

Milk production is robust at about 78 pounds per cow per day, about 7,900 gallons per day in total, and milk quality is extremely high. The herd averages 3.6% fat and 3.1% protein milk daily, with a somatic cell count of less than 200,000. Herd production is outstanding, with a 29% pregnancy rate and a 12.7-month calving interval. Stonyvale Farm ships its milk to Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), and from there it arrives in the kitchens of New England families as wholesome Hood and Garelik Farms dairy products.
