DEP Commissioner Patricia Aho presenting the 2013 Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence to Adam Wintle and Travis Fogler

Though Exeter Agri-Energy has been recognized in the press for our innovative and environmentally-friendly project, until last week we hadn’t actually won any awards for our efforts.  That all changed on May 22 when EAE was recognized by Governor Paul LePage and Maine’s Department of Environmental Projection with a 2013 Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence.

In a ceremony at Mid-State Machine in Winslow, DEP Commissioner Patricia Aho and the Governor’s Senior Natural Resources Policy Advisor, Carlisle McLean, presented EAE representatives, Travis Fogler and Adam Wintle with the award.  Other award recipients include Window Dressers, Cary Medical Center, The Meadowmere Resort, and Edwards-United Technologies.

EAE has worked closely with the great people at Maine DEP since the very beginning of our project and are honored to have received this award.  Without the support of folks from DEP, we would not have been as successful as we have.  Thank you DEP and Governor LePage!
